Zahreen Ghaznavi
Associate

Zahreen is a litigation associate at Jayaram Law. She has experience litigating a wide variety of commercial litigation, including corporate deal litigation, intellectual property disputes, securities, antitrust, and employment matters in both federal and state court. Zahreen also has extensive experience in education and special education law. Prior to Jayaram Law, Zahreen was an in-house attorney at Success Academy Charter Schools, working on all legal matters arising from the 47 schools in the charter school network and helping the organization manage legal risk. Zahreen was also a general litigation associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Friedman Kaplan Seiler & Adelman LLP in New York.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Zahreen taught 5th grade on the southwest side of Chicago, where she is from originally, and worked for the U.S. Department of Education on the School Improvement Grant program, which is the federal school turnaround effort. Zahreen lives in Harlem with her partner and the sweetest dog in the world, Olivia Noodle John. In her free time, she enjoys all things food-related (cooking, baking, fermenting, and eating!), working out (or at least, trying to) and reading voraciously (you can always count on her for a good book or longform article recommendation!).
