The Row: Ares House Makes IRL Debut at Art Basel Miami 2022

As Art Basel Miami Beach took over the city for its 20th Anniversary in December, Jayaram returned on the heels of the previous year’s art-meets-tech poolside cabana party at the Goodtime Hotel. Once again, we found ourselves working with close friends, creative collaborators—and clients!—this time featuring an exhibition of otherworldly proportions called Ares House. Word of the show, situated in the heart of Craig Robins’ Miami Design District, spread quickly and attendance was through the roof on opening night and throughout the weekend, filling the space with curiosity and excitement!

Jayaram—working side by side with internationally-acclaimed artist Daniel Arsham, metaverse technology pioneers Everyrealm, and immersive production wizards Future Galerie—concepted and produced a real life metaverse experience that stitched together the physical and digital worlds, seamlessly interlacing 3D projection mapping, video installations, augmented environments and Arsham-designed sculptural works.

Ares House itself is a monumental digital structure designed by Arsham that looks like it might have existed in an ancient, otherworldly civilization, and set in an indistinguishable yet familiar landscape. The metaverse architecture project is part of thirty 3D designs located in The Row: a first-of-its kind, members-only metaverse real estate community, developed by Everyrealm and metaverse world-building platform, Mona. Artists of note featured alongside Arsham included Misha Kahn, Andrés Reisinger, Alexis Christodoulou, Six N. Five, and HARD. Artists Zac Hall and Adrian Stein who comprise the duo HAZE brought each of these digital artworks to life in their one-of-a-kind, 360 degree immersive gallery, elevating the 2D to a truly ethereal 3D experience.

With over 2,000 attendees in just four days, we couldn’t be prouder of the artistic collaboration with our partners. And the press loved it too—check out what Vanity Fair, Hypebeast, Architectural Digest, Forbes, Dezeen, Cultured and others had to say!

We also want to thank our generous team of sponsors—Mona, Delta, LATAM Airlines, Samsung, Miami Design District, Laneta Tequila, and Saratoga Spring Water—who helped take the exhibition to a world-class level. You truly made an important cultural moment happen for thousands of Basel-goers!

Wait till you hear what we’re cooking up for this year…
