Danielle is an experienced intellectual property attorney who helps clients establish, protect, enforce, and defend their brands in the United States and throughout the world.
Danielle regularly provides strategic advice about the availability and selection of new trademarks and holistic counseling on trademark portfolio growth and management. She has enforced and defended her clients’ rights through litigation before the federal courts, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and in foreign tribunals. She develops and implements other enforcement strategies including Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) proceedings, cease and desist letters, and Internet takedowns.
She has gained broad experience drafting and negotiating trademark settlement, coexistence, and license agreements for clients in a variety of industries, including cosmetics, professional sports, games and toys, fashion, jewelry, finance, publishing, food and beverage, and consumer and household products.
Prior to joining Jayaram, Danielle was a trademark attorney at Locke Lord LLP and at Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz PC. During law school, she served as a fellow in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and as Acquisitions Editor of the top-ranked Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal.
Outside of law, Danielle is passionate about perinatal health and has completed numerous birth doula and childbirth educator trainings. She loves a good book, salt air, and looks forward to traveling again. She lives near the beach with her husband and two young children.
